Life in the Mud
Why I'm learning to stop wishing for perfectly clear waters
“Water which is too pure has no fish.” — Zen Proverb
I took this while walking by the harbor with a slow-shutter app. It’s a pretty accurate picture of how life actually feels most days—not crisp and clean, but blurry, shifting, and uncertain. I find a lot of comfort in mindful philosophies, not because I have it all figured out, but because they help ground me when the waters get choppy. We spend so much time wishing for a perfectly clean, painless path. But life is in the mud. Even when things are moving too fast, and nothing is in focus, there is still beauty to be found right in front of us.
Keep breathing.
